Rest of Scotland
Hello to all our friends and visitors to the Rest of Scotland page of the CMA website.
We are into May already, where has the year gone so quickly?
As a branch have been busy with several events recently as well as the usual opening times of the Bikers Hub.
Did you know that we have given out over 800 Biker Bibles over the last year since the HUB opened! every one with a conversation!
Our first main event should have been in March and was the MCE bike show held at Ingleston. Sadly, due to weather the event was cancelled and moved to April, even though numbers were down because of the change of date and several manufacturers pulling out, it was a very successful weekend for us. We met with many new friends and many people were made aware of the CMA.
The next weekend was the national AGM held in the Bethany Christian Centre in Houghton le Spring near Newcastle. This was a great success for us as a branch, as 16 of us travelled down. We were made more than welcome by our hosts from the north east and the Tyne and Wear branches, whose hospitality was second to none. Thank you once again for hosting.
Whilst there we managed to catch up with Greg Hall a supporter from north east branch, who a week before, had travelled up to the hub just to visit on his trusty 125cc suzuki. He travelled home again the same night. Greg, well done and thanks for visiting us you are more than welcome anytime.
We also attended a number of Easter egg runs in various parts of the country with members attending rides in Balloch, Paisley, Glasgow and Kilmarnock over the weekend.
We have a busy few weeks coming up with one of our members John Montgomery being baptised in the biker’s hub, a place John has said has been pivotal to his finding the Lord.
This shall be held on Saturday the 5th May at 1pm with a small ride in before the service, and he has extended an open invitation to anyone wishing to come and support him.
Then shortly after that on the 2nd June we have our open day, marking one year of the hub being open. Once Again all are welcome to attend and we hope to see you there.
As summertime is just around the corner this brings with it the new opening times of the Biker hub this means the hub will be open 7 days, a big undertaking but only made possible with the help and co-operation of our ever supportive members.
Opening times are usually from 5-6pm weekdays and 12-1pm weekends but check the Facebook page for daily updates.
If you want any more details on the CMA or the HUB, please contact John using the e-mail link below or find the Facebook page - CMA Rest of Scotland - and ask any questions there.
